Your flower sponsorship for more biodiversity - Beegnette 2026

Insects are dying. Wild bees are disappearing. And with them, an invisible network that holds our nature together.

Around 80% of our native plants rely on insects – yet over half of all wild bee species are endangered. They can barely find food, nesting sites, or habitat.

With Beegnette 2026, you can help change exactly that:

  • Creation of species-rich habitats: With wildflower meadows & nesting structures – for many different wild bee species
  • Long-term care & supervision: By our team of biologists, farmers & wild bee experts
  • Scientifically monitored tracking: To control and ensure ecological impact
  • Targeted promotion of endangered wild bee species: Creation of urgently needed habitats for specialized species

Choose your desired size and determine the duration of your sponsorship:

  • One-time support: You make a one-time contribution to the creation or maintenance of an area of the chosen size.
  • Multi-year support: Secure a long-term home for wild bees. As a thank you for your ongoing commitment, we will automatically send you the new Beegnette for the following year every autumn.

Important note on multi-year sponsorship: The invoice for the new Beegnette will be included with the delivery in autumn. Your commitment can be canceled at any time.

A visible sign
With the Beegnette, you receive a high-quality certificate – the official proof of your flower sponsorship. It includes an exclusive art sticker (Ø 6 cm), which is newly designed by an artist each year. This sticker makes your sponsorship visible – whether on your laptop, mailbox, or car. It is more than just a sticker: a small work of art that shows your dedication to biodiversity.

A small surprise for your balcony or garden
For all those who want to get actively involved – with a hand-picked selection of wild plants, specially developed for wild bees by our biologists.

Knowledge & Impact
You will receive a lovingly designed information envelope with details about your contribution. This way, you can understand the impact of your sponsorship – and have something inspiring to pass on if you give the Beegnette as a gift.

A lasting contribution
Your Beegnette transforms your contribution into real habitat. The areas you co-finance are professionally maintained, scientifically monitored, and provide food and nesting sites for endangered wild bee species – for years to come.

Wild bees are among the most important pollinators in our nature. Without them, there would be hardly any fruit, vegetables, or species-rich flower meadows. However, over half of the wild bee species in Germany are now endangered – many are even acutely threatened with extinction.

The main reasons:

  • Intensive agriculture with pesticides and large-scale monocultures
  • Land sealing due to roads, settlements, and parking lots
  • Lack of habitats, e.g., structurally rich flower meadows or suitable nesting sites
  • Lack of food: many species are highly specialized – if their plant is missing, the bee also disappears

With the flower sponsorship "Beegnette," you help precisely here:

You support perennial, professionally managed flower areas that offer endangered species long-term food and protection.

The "Beegnette" is an annual blooming sponsorship – made visible by a sticker. With your contribution, you finance professional habitats for wild bees – where they are most urgently needed.

Wild bees are indispensable for functioning ecosystems. They pollinate over 80% of our native wild and cultivated plants. Without their pollination services, there would be less fruit, vegetables, seeds, and species-rich flower meadows.

Studies show:

  • Targeted Pollination: Wild bees ensure the genetic diversity of plants. (Source: Austrian Environment Agency, 2020)
  • Specialized Helpers: Many plants can only survive with certain wild bee species. (Source: NHM Vienna, 2016)
  • Secure Harvests: Where there are many wild bees, harvests are more stable and healthier – a real contribution to food security. (Source: University of Freiburg, 2023)

However, more than half of the approximately 560 wild bee species in Germany are endangered – primarily due to habitat loss. With your "Beegnette" flower sponsorship, you help bring back their habitat – bloom by bloom.

Our "Beegnette" areas are created in Germany and Switzerland – always where wild bees and other pollinators urgently need more habitat. We work together with experienced farmers and regional partners. Each area is carefully selected according to ecological criteria and professionally supported from the very beginning.

This includes:

  • Soil preparation and sowing with native wild plants (up to 100 species per area).
  • Creation of diverse structures such as sand lenses, deadwood, or BeeHomes for various wild bee species.
  • Care and monitoring by biologists and farmers, so that the areas can develop year after year.
  • Documentation and transparency – we record which plants are growing, which wild bees are nesting, and how biodiversity is developing.

This is how species-rich flowering areas are created, which become part of a larger network – ecologically meaningfully connected, scientifically monitored, and cared for over many years.
