Now including the BirdLife Garden Birds of Switzerland field guide
The field guide Garden Birds of Switzerland by BirdLife introduces the 47 most common garden birds, from Alpine Swift to Chiffchaff. The intricate bird illustrations are by artist Alex Mascarell Llosa. For each species, all plumages and sexes are depicted; important identification features are labeled. Short texts provide an overview of characteristics, calls, habitat, diet, and breeding. Further chapters are dedicated to bird identification in general and opportunities for enhancing urban areas and one's own garden.

Handmade birdhouse made with eco-friendly materials from sustainable production
Our handmade bird feeder "BirdSnack" is produced exclusively in Switzerland in social workshops. For this, we use ecological materials from responsible production: for the inner box and the bird perch, untreated wood from sustainable forestry, birdseed from Swiss production, and a weather-resistant roof consisting of 80 percent natural raw materials.
Bird Joy in the Cold Months
Winter brings nature to a rest – but for our garden birds, it's a challenging time. With the BirdSnack, you can help our feathered friends get through the cold months well-fed. The optimal feeding time begins in autumn and extends into spring.
The solid feed block we specifically developed offers many advantages over loose feed: it stays fresh longer, dries out less quickly, and can be securely fastened – for a clean feeding area and less feed loss.
With the high-quality mixture of sunflower seeds, wheat flakes, hemp seeds, sorghum, and oat flakes, you can welcome numerous bird species such as blue tits, great tits, robins, goldfinches, greenfinches, house sparrows, and serins to your garden.
With the BirdSnack, you bring life into the winter nature and simultaneously support important actors in the ecosystem. Enjoy the colorful diversity of birds and let yourself be enchanted by these fascinating visitors.
The Right Location
Choose a quiet, clear spot in the garden, at least 1.80 meters above the ground. A spot near bushes or trees provides additional protection for the birds and makes the feeding area particularly attractive to them. It is important to note, however, that the feeding station should be at least 2-3 meters away from your wild bee house; this protects your wild bees and offers the birds their own oasis.
Time for a Refill
When the wooden stick in the feed block becomes visible, about 60% of the feed block has been eaten. With the BirdSnack Refill bird food, you ensure a continuous supply for your feathered friends during the cold season. Simply reorder and continue to enjoy the colorful diversity at the birdhouse.
Care for your BirdSnack
Store your BirdSnack in a sheltered place during the summer months when it is not actively used for bird feeding. This way, it remains a safe feeding place for your feathered friends for a long time.

How to be sure you're supporting both birds and wild bees at the same time
Although birds are above wild bees in the food chain, you can easily support both at the same time. By feeding the garden birds, you help them find food, which makes them less dependent on other food sources. However, it is important to note that the bird feeder should be placed at a distance of at least 2-3 meters from your wild bee house, thus protecting your wild bees and offering the birds their own oasis.
