Photo competition for World Bee Day
A queen bumblebee searching for a nest, a carpenter bee collecting nectar, or tiny wild bees performing acrobatic dances in the air – for World Bee Day on May 20th, we pay tribute to nature's pollinating superstars and invited our community to share their most beautiful photos with us.
The participation was overwhelming: We received over 580 impressive photos from Switzerland and Germany, and more than 1,500 votes were cast to select the buzzing winners from the top 15 pictures.

We are absolutely thrilled by the diversity and creativity expressed in each submitted image. Thanks to all participants who roamed around with attentive, watchful eyes in search of a beautiful bee motif, we are delighted to have a rich selection of remarkable documentations of the mysterious world of small, wild winged wonders.
