A Blooming Habitat in No Time

Seedballs are small spheres made of soil, clay, and seeds that you can easily toss onto your desired spot—no green thumb required. The wildflowers grow all on their own, creating a thriving, blooming habitat in the blink of an eye.

Lovingly Handmade

Our Seedballs are produced by the specialized Seedball Manufaktur in cooperation with the social workshops of Lebenshilfe Detmold und Begatal. The nursery's team creates a peat-free mixture of soil, clay, and individually curated seed mixes, shaping them into Seedballs. Afterward, the still-damp spheres are gently dried within 24 hours and later packaged. Each Seedball is unique and a 100% natural product. The Seedballs are packed in small, charming cotton bags.

Carefully Selected Wildflower Mix

The seed mix was developed together with experts to perfectly match the climatic conditions in Switzerland and Germany. This allows native wildflowers to grow from the Seedballs, bringing vibrant color to your surroundings and creating a valuable habitat for bees and other insects.

These wildflowers can bloom in your garden:

Dyer's Chamomile, Field Bellflower, Wild Mustard, Borage, Buckwheat, Marigold, Welsh Onion, Meadow Sage, Wild Radish, Sunflower, Marrowstem Kale, Flax, Alfalfa, Yellow Mustard, Musk Thistle, Cornflower, Meadow Knapweed, Rough Chervil, Chicory, Wild Carrot, Viper's Bugloss, St. John's Wort, Field Scabious, Autumn Hawkbit, Oxeye Daisy, Common Bird's-foot Trefoil, Chamomile, Black Medick, White Sweet Clover, Yellow Sweet Clover, Sainfoin, Long-headed Poppy, Common Poppy, Wild Parsnip, Wild Reseda, Weld, Purple Crown Vetch, Red Campion, European Goldenrod, Tansy, Thyme, Dark Mullein, Small-flowered Mullein.

It’s as Simple as That:

  • The ideal time to scatter the spheres is in spring (early March to late July).
  • Find a sunny spot in a pot (approx. 20 cm in diameter) or a garden bed.
  • Press the Seedballs halfway into the soil.
  • Keep moist with water and watch the magic happen!
  • Seedballs can be stored for at least 1 to 2 years if kept in a dry place.
  • 1 sachet with 6 hand-rolled seed bombs
